About Me
A few ramblings, stories and needs to knows…

Welcome to my humble abode
To keep it brief, I’m Charlotte.
I’m from the North West of England, and about six years ago a trip to Rome completely changed how I saw life. I went for a short break and came back with this nagging, impossible to ignore feeling that there was more out there. Not long after, I started travelling properly, and I haven’t really stopped since.

2021
I took my first long solo-trip and set off around Europe for 5 months. The plan was originally to head to Asia, but Covid set fire to all plans of heading further afield that year.
I can’t even put into words how much things changed for me during this trip, it really was like the entire world suddenly opened up.
It was a summer of discovery, learning and combating hangovers in 30+ degree heat. A blast.
2022
After my trip in 2021 I got back home, tried to settle at a new job, did the 4 weeks training and left. I remember sitting there talking to people about things I could care less about, it all seemed so meaningless, I honestly thought I was losing it.
I just knew it was something I couldn’t do.
Luckily the previous year I’d applied through the British Council to teach English in Spain and got a late acceptance letter. I didn’t even care where I was to be placed as long as it meant I could get on the move again.
That January I headed to a little town close to Murcia and began working in 2 schools teaching English to children. The town was small and nothing at all I’d expected having only been in big cities in Spain.
Thankfully I ended up with the best flatmate all the way from the USA who assisted me in downing tequila shots, creating lesson plans and taking European weekend breaks to Italy, Hungary, Vienna and Albania.
I’d say this season of my life gave me time to think about what I wanted going forward and time to watch the entire series of Pasion de Gavilanes.

2023
In April I headed to Seville for another english teaching opportunity. It was the perfect time to arrive, I got to experience Semana Santa and Feria and I
When I’d first visited Seville in 2021, I fell in love with the city, it’s easily my favourite place in the world and my time here just cemented that even more as I met some of my favourite people and really got to know the city.
